Where a pair of blighted motels once stood, Barratt created a mixed-use urban enclave of 138 luxury condos, town-homes, and studios with prime coastal views. A beach overlook with public access, new restaurants, new retail that includes an exquisite art gallery, and a community center for all Bird Rock residents further rejuvenated the neighborhood. Responding to local concerns about increased traffic, Barratt also spent $3 million to install roundabouts.
